The Mercer County Sheriff's Office requested assistance in September 2019 following the escape of Kately from the county jail where he was being held on state charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, parole violation for burglary and a previous escape charge.
February 20, 2019 - The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has matched the U.S. Marshals Service's offer of a $5,000 reward for information which leads to the arrest and apprehension of a suspect in the attempted murder of a Virginia police officer.
