Prior to taking or attempting to take into custody the principal on a bond, a professional bondsman licensed under chapter 533, a surety bail bond agent licensed under chapter 700f or a bail enforcement agent licensed under sections 29-152f to 29-152i, inclusive, shall notify the police department or resident state trooper for, or state police troop having jurisdiction over, the municipality in which the principal is believed to be located of such bondsman's or agent's intentions.
Every applicant for a license must file with the commissioner a notice of appointment executed by an insurer or its authorized representative authorizing such applicant to execute undertakings of bail and to solicit and negotiate such undertakings on its behalf.

The arrested individual must show up for all of their scheduled court dates to the assigned courthouse here in CT. In the event the defendant Fails To Appear for any of the scheduled court dates, the bail bondsman who posted the bail will be sent to locate the individual and you will be arrested again and returned to jail.

The commissioner shall send, by first class mail, a notice of expiration of the bail enforcement agent firearms permit issued pursuant to this section, together with a notice of expiration of the permit to carry a pistol or revolver issued pursuant to section 29-28, in one combined form.
